Test and live
Every account has two modes. The API is the same; the data is not.

A test key can never read live rows. Slugs and handles from test data do not exist in live.
What stays the same
- Every address, parameter and filter.
- The envelope, paging and error codes.
- Rate limits, so you meet a 429 in test before you meet one in production.
Moving to live
- In the dashboard, fill in “Live access” with what you are building and who it is for.
- A person reads it. You get an email with the answer.
- Create a live key and put it where the test key was.
